Women’s Shelters Canada is again working with the LOVE YOU by Shoppers Drug Mart program on their fundraising campaign. This campaign supports violence against women shelters and transition houses like Hestia House across the country to raise donation to help support women and children experiencing domestic violence.
Thank You to the 5 local Shoppers Drug Mart's for their fundraising efforts during the Love You campaign. This is the 3rd year in a row that they (and the community) have supported Hestia House. This year there was 25,299 dollars raised!
International Women’s Day is on March 8th, 2023.
On International Women's Day, we recognize and honor the innumerable contributions of women and girls around the world. We celebrate their ideas, innovations and activism that are transforming our planet for the better, plus their leadership in every field. Let us encourage them to keep up their amazing work!
You need help but don't want to leave your pet behind. Pets become family members and it's hard to imagine leaving them behind. We are unable to bring pets into the center but rest assured there are programs through the SPCA to help out with your furry family members while you are seeking the support your need.
Once a woman becomes a resident of our shelter, the staff will contact the SPCA to make arrangements and get your babies into a foster home. We are here for you and we will help out with your furry family members too. Call 24/7: 506-634-7570
