Purple Lights 2025: Shine a Light on Courage
Are You Ready to Make a Difference?
Across the country, November is recognized as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, with the colour purple symbolizing hope. At Hestia House, we hold our annual Purple Lights Campaign to raise awareness, offer hope to survivors, and support women and children seeking safety.
Reflecting on our Purple Lights Campaign 2024
From our Purple Lights Campaign launch event, Hangout at Hampton Brewery, and the first-ever UNBSJ Seawolves Purple Games, to the Purple Lights Trivia Night and Online Auction, your participation and generosity were invaluable and became a powerful symbol of hope for women rebuilding their lives in safety.
Thanks to our incredible community, partners, and supporters, the 2024 Purple Lights Campaign raised over $13,000 to help sustain our 24/7 shelter operations and essential programs. We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended, donated, or volunteered.
Purple Lights 2025: Shine a Light on Courage
This year, our theme is Shine a Light on Courage. We celebrate the strength of women and the communities that stand beside them, and we shine a light on the courage it takes to leave, heal, and rebuild.
Q4 Hope Drive
Our Q4 donation drive takes place during the Purple Lights Campaign, collecting essential items for women and children that are often left behind when they seek safety from domestic violence.
